At Daevi, we have been present in the nautical sector for a few years now, and since we docked here we have realized that this nautical subsector, despite having exceptional professionals, does not congregate a community with which to collaborate or with the one to become visible.

The sector of the Boat construction and maintenance It has a great weight within the Nautical Recreation, and that is why we want to share the challenges that arise.

Thanks to the initiative of Daevi, to the invaluable collaboration of the Barcelona Nautical Cluster, of which we are active members, and of Varador 2000We have made this highly anticipated professional event possible.

What does this Refit Day contribute?

The objectives to be achieved with this Conference are:

• Convert Barcelona and its area of influence into the capital of the refit sector
• Bring together the majority of representatives of nautical refit companies in the area (Barcelonés, Maresme) and promote collaboration between them
• Offer a Networking space to Refit Professionals where they feel identified, create community and learn about the actions that are promoted within the sector
• Getting the media to make it visible that the Refit sector "is moving"
• Publicize specific boat maintenance training to refit companies to help improve their professionalization.

This Conference wants to be the First Event aimed at Refit professionals, promoting a space that creates community among professionals, showing the Present and Future of the sector. The topics we will cover will be the following:

• Antifouling regulations
• Importance of masking and temporary protection in the refit
• 3D printing focused on the refit sector

The presentation of the Conference will be given by Xiqui Mas, the CEO of Varador 2000 and Marina Mataró Barcelona, without the collaboration of which this event would not have been possible.

In Marina Mataró is where the Conference will be held, it is the nautical base of the north coast of Barcelona. This Marina, designed to accommodate superyachts from 20 to 60 meters in length, opens its doors to us to create the ideal networking space for Refit professionals.
