This first day dedicated to refit sector<\/em>, unprecedented, has managed to arouse the interest of professionals and nautical companies. Almost 50 companies<\/strong> They actively participated in the act, and there was even a waiting list in case there were last minute casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the welcome from the Mayor of Matar\u00f3<\/em>, David Bote, the round table entitled \u00abThe present and future of the Refit sector<\/strong>" headed by Xiqui Mas<\/strong>, Varador 2000 CEO<\/em>, Joan Pere G\u00f3mez<\/strong>, Manager Ports of the Generalitat<\/a><\/em> and Antoni Ti\u00f3<\/strong>, President of the Cluster Nautic Barcelona<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ti\u00f3 has asked for the collaboration of the administration in order to consolidate this sector as the economic engine of Catalonia, a request that G\u00f3mez has collected. "The nautical sector is an economic engine," he confirmed, while raising environmental sustainability, dual training, and promoting charter to fill marinas and technical areas throughout the year as challenges for the sector. But, for his part, he stressed that the activity is growing and that in order to keep up with this pace, it is necessary to promote specialized training in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training needs in the Refit sector<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Another technical presentation comes from the hand of Daevi<\/strong><\/a>. its Marketing and Communication Director<\/em>, Eli Martin<\/strong>, has made a presentation on the Advantages of using the masking in the Refit, in which he has revealed the need to give importance to the masking process and temporary protection prior to any repair or maintenance of boats, and covers the saying \u00abMore it is worth preventing that curing \u00bbadapted to Refit:\u00abPROTECT better than CLEAN<\/strong>\u00ab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3D printing reaches the Refit sector<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The innovation part came from the company Eceleni<\/a><\/strong>, with his Technical director<\/em>, Eloy Bautista<\/strong>, who presented us with the solutions of the 3d print<\/strong> for the nautical sector. Bautista has clarified that 3D printing is a revolution, since it allows the manufacture of parts that may no longer be for sale and also with sustainable and biodegradable materials, although it cannot solve everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Refit Networking<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

A highly valued space of the Conference were the presentations by attending professionals and companies<\/strong> who provided information about their products and services in order to optimize the time spent on Networking<\/strong> during the break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this space, an idea board was set up so that attendees could leave their opinions and suggestions that will be taken into account to share in the next edition of the Refit Conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tourist promotion of the nautical<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The President of the Costa del Maresme Tourist Promotion Consortium<\/a><\/em>, Joaquim Arn\u00f3<\/strong>, has emphasized the need for boost nautical bases<\/strong> in Maresme, halfway between Barcelona and the Costa Brava, and has also insisted on the importance of specialized training to boost the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Captain's Farewell<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The farewell has been taken over by Captain of Matar\u00f3 Marina Barcelona<\/em>, Ignasi Blessed<\/strong>, who has thanked the organization of the 1st Refit Conference in the capital of Maresme, in facilities designed and conceived to meet the needs of large boats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Conference has been a highly anticipated event that has met the expectations of the attendees. The 100%<\/strong> of respondents have stated that they would return to a second edition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This fact makes it clear that the Refit sector needs a space to create community, where they can express their concerns so that they are heard and thus, together, improve and enhance the sector, which undoubtedly represents a large part of the blue economy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
